FORECLOSED HOMEOWNER ON HUNGER STRIKE

Today marks Day # 6 of a Hunger Strike by Donna Zao Vieira, a foreclosed homeowner and community activist from San Leandro California. Her property was foreclosed on by Wells Fargo Bank. She has fought tirelessly and courageously to save the homes of other homeowners fighting foreclosure by the major banks. She has been a participant in the Occupy San Francisco, Occupy Oakland, Make Wall Street Banks, and Occupy the California State Capital events. She has supported others in bank actions throughout the San Francisco bay area. She is seeking justice and fairness.

Donna Vieira is now seeking the support of the public as she puts her life on the line in her efforts to obtain justice for homeowners throughout the land.
Donna is protesting the absence of criminal prosecutions by the state and federal courts of banks who created the housing and foreclosure crises. To date not one banker has gone to jail. With the AG settlements with the banks, origination crimes and robo-signing will likely go unpunished.

Donna is supported by her husband, Nuno Vieira, and their seven-year old son, Leo, who are watching out for her well-being. Donna immigrated from China where her elderly parents are living.

Donna invites you to join her whenever you can on Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. occupying the "No Justice Zone" outside the California Office of the Attorney General at 455 Golden Gate Avenue , San Francisco, California.

Today Donna reports that she has lost four pounds and is feeling week. Today Nuno is at her side and she will contact her doctor when she is away from the No Justice Zone.

God Bless. You are amazing and courageous. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for all of us. You are spot on in your belief that the AGs (and unaware judges) are rewarding and encouraging fraud instead of stemming the tide of unlawful foreclosures.
We need many more brave women and men like you and your family.

How can we get the word out? Can you create a petition to petition the judge publically?

Wish my wife and i lived close enough to be out there with you. (We live in Modesto) The day must come when there is a foreclosure moratorium and when fraudulent banking practices are prosecuted. Those who share your plight admire your courage.

Foreclosure Fighter on 7th Day of Hunger Strike for Justice

Today marks Day #7 of foreclosure fighter, Donna Vieira's "Hunger Strike for Justice."

Donna is occupying the sidewalk at the Office of Attorney Genearl at 455 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday through Friday to call attention to the bad deal that AG Harris and other AGs made with the too big to fail banks such as Wells Fargo Bank, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, Bank of America, and Citicorp.

How can you help?

Spread the word -- contact the media; post on Twitter and Facebook .

Call AG Kamala D. Harris at 415 703-5500 and tell her to criminally prosecute the banks and hold them accountable.

Join Donna in the Occupy the No Justice Zone at 455 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco between 10 o'clock a.m. and 1 o'clock p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donna's Condition:

I spoke with Donna at 10 o'clock this morning. She reports that her energy is good considering that she is in her 7th day of the hunger strike. She is taking vitamins and drinking ginseng tea. She is alone outside the California Office of the Attorney General at 455 Golden Gate Ave in San Francisco. She invites you to come out and join her in this fight for justice for homeowners and victims of the too big to fail and too big to fail banks. She asks that you call your local TV and radio stations, newspapers and share her story. She appreciates your support.

Let us lift Donna Zao Vieira and her family in prayer.

Rather than go after the banks AG Kamala Harris is going after the smaller players while letting the banks who continue to violate California laws to free and avoid criminal prosecutions.. On March 8, 2012 Attorney General Kamala D. Harris announced the arrests of the owners and managing attorney of a law firm that took thousands of dollars in up-front loan modification fees for services that were never performed for homeowners, many of whom ended up losing their homes. regory Flahive of El Dorado Hills, 39, Cynthia Flahive of Folsom, 41, and Mike Johnson of Elk Grove, 42, were arrested on 19 felony counts, including grand theft by false pretense, conspiracy and false advertising. Learn more at http://oag.ca.gov/news/press_release?id=2643&y=&m=

Please send a message to California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris to criminally prosecute the banks for violating California laws. Telephone 415 703-5500 today. Cancel that --- call 415 703-5500.

 UPDATE AT 11:12 A.M.

Just received a Facebook message from a follower who stated the following:

"Called 415 703-5500 today.....this was the response.'We are not taking calls from the public. All calls must go through the Public Inquiries Unit at 916-332-3360.' Apparently AG Harris just doesn't want to hear from the public."

UPDATE:

Yesterday on Day # 10 Donna Vieira received a telephone call from Ernest Figaro, representative of the Nevada Attorney General. He has agreed to look into her personal case.

Frances Gunder in the California AG's office told Donna that there is nothing they can do for her; she

let it be known that the AG's office will not be intimidated by her hunger strike.

Channel 14 Noticias TV filmed Donna sitting-in at the OAG's office in San Francisco.

Representatives of Occupy Petaluma came out to support Donna. They plan to organize a show of support for Donna and the demand for criminal prosecutions on Thursday, April 5th at 455 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco.

This is the time to act. The banks are being so daring and continue perpetrating their criminal acts. The AGs settlement with the banks eliminated recourse for origination fraud. We appreciate what the AGs have done -- sadly it is not enough.

Hunger strike in 13th day to stop foreclosures and prosecute big banks continues
outside AG Kamala Harris' SF office

SAN FRANCISCO – A bay area woman – protesting what she calls an illegal foreclosure of her family's home by Wells Fargo bank, and thousands of other illegal foreclosures in California – enters her ninth day of a hunger strike Thursday here outside the Office of Attorney General Kamala Harris (455 Golden Gate Ave.)

Donna Vieira started her hunger strike March 21 (she's at the AG office from 10 to 1:00 every day), and is requesting a meeting with AG Harris to talk about her foreclosed home and whether the AG will "prosecute big banks like Wells Fargo."

Vieira, who has assisted homeowners fighting foreclosure, said she want to call attention to the corrupted financial and judicial systems that millions of homeowners continue to suffer from injustice.

Said Vieira: "The purpose of my hunger strike is not to destroy my health, but to highlight the urgency for Attorney General Harris to act on behalf of ALL homeowners. I am standing up for my family by using our 7-year long fight to illustrate the systematic and intentional fraud Wells Fargo has perpetrated against us.

"As the people's attorney, AG Harris need to act NOW to criminally prosecute 'Too Big To Fail' banks like Wells Fargo. This is the only way to show bank accountability and prevent future financial crisis. Small scammers didn't cause the 2008 housing crisis and financial institutions melt down. I appreciate AG Harris' effort in going after attorneys and small scammers for the loan modification fraud. However, she needs to exercise her elected power and her resources to go to the source of the problem - 'Too Big To Fail' banks like Wells Fargo."

UPDATE:

Today marks Day # 13 of Donna Zao Vieira's Hunger Strike for Justice for foreclosed homeowners.
Donna's physical condition is deteriorating as the days go by. This morning Donna experienced hypertension and overall weakness. Her husband, Nuno Vieira, drove her into San Francisco where they resumed a "Sit-In" outside the California Office of the Attorney General on Golden Gate Avenue. The weather affected Donna due to the temperatures being low and the wind. Members of Move-On came out to support Donna today. Upon returning home she spoke with her doctor who advised that she was becoming dehydrated and having issues with her blood pressure. Donna hopes to be able to continue through Friday as she has a young son who needs her.

One of the Move-On supporters came out to support Donna because she is a well-known home defender, member of ACCE and the 99% Movement and as Donna has stood up to Wells Fargo Bank on countless occasions. Her supporter, Joanne, reported that she had just received a permanent loan modification with principal reduction from Wells Fargo Bank. She believes the efforts of Donna, Nuno and other courageous community activists made a difference for her personally.

SOLIDARITY WITH HUNGER STRIKER
March 31, 2012

Donna Zao Vieira began a hunger strike on March 21 to protest the foreclosure of her family’s home by Wells Fargo. You can read her story on this website:

http://www.nojusticezone.com/Home_Page.html

Donna is a courageous woman who is fighting back with two of the only weapons left to those of us who have been foreclosed or are facing foreclosure: truth and moral persuasion.

A delegation from Occupy Petaluma
visited Donna and her husband, Nuno, to express our solidarity and ask how we could show our support. Donna would like people to join her protest on Thursday, April 5 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in front of the California State building in San Francisco (455 Golden Gate Ave.). Donna is at this location Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and we are certain she would appreciate a visit anytime during these hours. This is the location of California Attorney General Kamala Harris’ San Francisco office. The Occupy Petaluma delegation went inside and left a note of support for Donna with a member of AG Harris’ staff. We encourage you to do the same if you visit Donna.

We urge everyone to call California Attorney General Kamala Harris (1-800- 952-5225) and ask her to investigate and prosecute foreclosure fraud by the banks on behalf of homeowners such as Donna Zao Vieira.
